Coastal Exploration
Da Nang and Hoi An offer two distinct ways to encounter central Vietnam’s coastline. In Da Nang, mountains meet the sea; in Hoi An, riverways, coconut forests, and historic streets reveal the relationship between heritage, tourism, and local life.
This program combines outdoor exploration with hands-on cultural learning. Through time on the water, in coastal landscapes, and alongside local communities, students build confidence, teamwork, and curiosity while exploring the environments that support coastal life.
Along the way, students consider what it takes to care for a coast under pressure. The journey invites reflection on marine conservation, responsible travel, and how communities can protect both their natural environments and cultural traditions.
Day 1
Morning: Depart from Ho Chi Minh City and travel to the airport to fly to Da Nang.
Afternoon: Upon arrival in Da Nang, we transfer to the hotel for check-in and lunch. Afterward, we'll head to My Khe Beach for a series of team- building activities to build communication, leadership, and collaboration.
Evening: Enjoy a welcome dinner near the hotel before gathering for a program briefing and reflection session. Introduce the theme and prepare students for the week ahead.
Sample Itinerary
Day 2
Morning: After breakfast, we'll visit the Marble Mountains, visiting caves, temples, and viewpoints. This allows students to explore the unique geology, history, and cultural significance of this landscape.
Afternoon: Conservation center visit/workshop: Kayaking, Surfing, and an outdoor sporting experience at My Khe Beach.
Evening: Dinner in Da Nang & Reflection
Day 3
Morning: Travel to Hoi An to participate in a Kayak Cleanup Tour.
Afternoon: Explore Hoi An by bicycle through Cam Thanh Coconut Village. Afterward, join a basket boat experience through the palm forest. After the exploration of Hoi An, students will craft bamboo lanterns.
Evening: Dinner in Hoi An, followed by time to experience the lantern-lit streets before returning to Da Nang.
Day 4
Morning: After breakfast, we'll visit Son Tra Peninsula for a nature walk and views of Da Nang's coastline.
Afternoon: Transfer to Da Nang International Airport for our return flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
